Scope & Objectives

Digitalization has become an important way to preserve, represent and provide public access to cultural heritage. The ways in which humanities scholars work has been changed by the development of information technology. What new research tools and methodologies have we brought to humanities? What new research materials and issues are discovered? How do we expect these methodologies and the role of the humanities scholar to change in the future under the influence of IT?

This conference aims to respond to these new challenges and to fertilize the effect on digital humanities as a whole by opening up new ways and methodologies to enhance the use of IT in a wide range of humanities disciplines.
