Prof. Huimin Bhikshu is the President of Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts, the Director of Chinese Buddhist Electronic Text Association and the abbot of Seeland Monastery in Taiwan. He devotes himself into studying Buddhism, Meditation and Humanities.

In recent years, Professor Bhikshu has dedicated himself to Buddhist classics digitization projects and resources integration. For example, he is the leader of the project─Chinese Buddhist Tripitaka Electronic Text Collection, Taipei Edition─for digitizing Chinese Buddhist Scripture, such as Tripitaka edition, rare Buddhist scriptures collected by National Central Library and so on. This is the most complete digital version of Chinese Buddhist Tripitaka, showing the value of rare ancient Buddhist scriptures of Taiwan in the international Buddhist studies. He is also responsible for the Saddharmapundarīka Database─a multilingual versions of “Lotus Sutra”, which becomes an indispensable Internet resource when studying and teaching related fields around the world.

In addition, Professor Bhikshu also collected Tripitaka catalog and ancient Buddhist literature, and integrated them into a Buddhist knowledge management system—the Digital Database of Buddhist Tripitaka Catalogues. After integrating with Geographic Information System (GIS), the database has turned into a Buddhist concordance search platform─Buddhist Lexicon Research Resources , which coordinates time and space, rendering the search results of Buddhist literature and related vocabulary in three-dimension.
